For vehicles equipped with a TrakView dashcam, once a trip is complete, you can create a clip from it via your Force Fleet Tracking web dashboard. This is useful if you need to show a particular time on a trip that was not captured by the dashcam as an event by default.
NOTE: User created clips are automatically transferred to your clips library. Clips are 60 seconds long and will count toward your monthly transfer total.
Where to find the create clip function
The function is available in several places in the web app:
Main dashboard: Tap on a vehicle on the map and, on the vehicle card that opens, tap the Trails link (first image, below). From there, tap on a completed trip in the right side panel (second image); the timeline scrubber bar at the bottom will include a CREATE CLIP option.
Clips library: Tap Create clip from a trip, top right.
Clip player: Tap on a specific event clip. In the player window that opens, tap Create clip from this trip.
Vehicle details page: Open a vehicle's details page. Tap on an event and, in the player window that opens, tap Create clip from this trip (as shown above).
Vehicle details page: Open a vehicle's details page. Tap on a trip and, in the Trip Detail window that opens, tap Create a clip from this trip.
How to create clip
Once you have a trip loaded, you can make a clip using the CREATE CLIP option on the timeline scrubber bar.
Move the car icon along the slider to the time you want to capture, then tap SAVE. The clip that is created will capture 30 seconds on either side of that time. (Because the clip preview is unavailable until saved, you will need to know the precise time that you wish to capture beforehand.)
If you want, use the ADD NOTE field to describe the clip. Otherwise, tap SAVE.
Once you save the clip, when it is ready, it will appear in your Clips library as a User Created clip.
Once the clip is in your library, you can download or share it by tapping the three dots, top right.
