This article explains how to use the maintenance feature in the Force Fleet Tracking mobile app. See Using the Maintenance feature in the Force Fleet Tracking web app for using the web version.
Force Fleet Tracking has a maintenance feature that lets you track and manage maintenance for all your fleet vehicles. This includes tracking upcoming services and appointments, uploading service receipts for bookkeeping, and overseeing the cost of servicing your vehicle by showing you the average cost of maintenance visits over time and the cost per mile of servicing the vehicle.
Use the feature from your Force Fleet Tracking mobile app by tapping Services (hand on bottom nav) and then Maintenance. Then on the Maintenance screen, select a vehicle.
Vehicle details shown includes information such as current odometer, service interval, next service, and mileage till service due. Once you input service receipts, you’ll be able to track how much you’ve spent on each vehicle, the average spent per service, and the maintenance cost per mile.
Tap EDIT to make adjustments to the odometer and the service interval settings (Note: when a new vehicle is added to Force Fleet Tracking, the service interval is set at 5,000 miles from the current odometer mileage; this can be adjusted as required.)
Adding receipts
Switch to the Receipts tab on the vehicle screen and then ADD RECEIPT to start recording service visits and uploading receipts.
When adding receipts, you will be asked to provide service details such as service type, merchant, and cost. You can also use the ADD PHOTO function to upload an image or PDF of the receipt from your phone or take a picture of it using your phone’s camera.
Tap SELECT next to Service Type to capture the completed service or services (you can check multiple entries). If the service is not listed, use the Note field (shown above).
Uploaded images and PDFs can be deleted using the trash can in the bottom corner of the image.
To delete a receipt entry entirely, just tap on Edit Receipt and then DELETE.
To sort services by type, tap the Sort & Filter funnel icon. This allows you to to review specific services such as oil changes.
