Force uses a 4G LTE dual-facing dashcam.
Once your dashcam is installed and successfully connected, it will continuously record video onto its SD memory card while the vehicle is on. (For installation instructions, see How to install dashcams). It will also automatically record event clips, including disturbances, harsh brakes, and speeding (see list below).
The micro SD card included is 256GB, which typically allows for the storage of 100 hours of event clips before clips start to be overwritten (starting from the oldest). Depending on the clip type, clip length is 15, 30, or 60 seconds.
Captured clips will include both the outside, forward-facing view and in-cabin view of the dashcam. If enabled, interior audio will also be recorded. The default setting for audio recording (of the vehicle interior) is off. This can be managed under the Devices tab in Account Settings.
Some clip types are automatically transferred from the dashcam to your clips library while others need to be manually transferred via your Force web dashboard. Because the camera will eventually overwrite older clips, you should periodically transfer clips that you wish to retain. See How to manage clips for a full explanation.
